2nd Paper Proposal

Your second paper proposal is due soon, so I wanted to let you know about the expectations for that paper: I'm looking for the same sorts of analysis as in the first paper proposal, but with this guiding question: If we assume (and this is, by no means, a given) that writers write because they want to bring about some kind of change, what might the purpose of some of our authors have been? Keep in mind, this doesn't have to be exactly what you write about, but it should be mentioned and discussed in some way in your paper. So, for instance, if you wrote about the book "The DaVinci Code" (which isn't one of your choices, but I'm using it as an example, you might talk mainly about the significance of classical artwork in the book, but you might include a paragraph or two about how Brown seems to ask his readers to question what they think they know about religious artwork. (The change, in this example, would be inspiring deeper thought or reconsideration of things that are often unexamined.) You **must** use at least one text from class, but you may use additional texts if you'd like. This is a paper of similar length to the first one, so you'll need to be fairly specific and focused in scope.
