2nd paper proposal

In my second paper I will examine literary techniques used by Updike in Rabbit, Run to tell a story and illustrate the points he was trying to get across. Specifically, I will be looking at recurring thematic elements including fight or flight instinct, acceptance and rejection, and factors contributing to failed relationships, including marriages and intimate friendships.
