Paper #1 Proposal

For my paper, I am chosing to write about In Cold Blood and relate it to gang violence. Specifically, in thea area were I live. I decided to do this because right after we were given the assignment, a teenager was killed in a gang related issue in Anderson about a week ago. It was over some little problem that wasn't that big of a deal and someone didn't like what he did, so they shot him. It made me think of In Cold Blood and how people can just kill somebody without any sympathy or regret and how easy it is for them to do it. It is like some people have no conscience and it doesn't phase them to just take another persons life. I am going to touch on this story and how it relates to the book and how it affects other people.
