Real Life vs. Literature
While reading the book, I am astonished as to how similar it is to real life situations. I found somewhere that Capote got the idea for the book by reading a newspaper article about some murders in Kentuky. He decided that it would be a good idea for a novel and interviewed many of the people that were involved with the case. I think this is why it is so similar to real life accounts because he pretty much got it from "real life".
After getting into the book, I found that there is are sometimes fine lines between the two aspects. It also makes me think more about the murders that happen in my area and become more aware of who the people were and who there murderer was. The book does a good job getting inside the mind of the killer and make you feel sorry for them in a way. So far the book is interesting and has opened my eyes to a new perspective on this topic.
