Junebug
I have a feeling a majority of the class is going to disagree with me, but I enjoyed Junebug. In a backwards way I can relate my entire life to the movie. My dream job is to own an art gallery in a large city or at least curate at a museum. I however, am from a tiny little town in North Carolina where modern art consists of indicants and birdhouses. Possibly this is why I ended up at Clemson I got a little of both worlds (I am a visual arts major) here instead of diving head first into a northern art institution.
I enjoyed that the movie left some questions unanswered, its fun to answer these questions in your head and finish the story yourself. At times I wanted to jump into the movie and tell a few of the characters how to resolve their conflict the "right" way. I liked having to make myself keep from yelling at the movie instead of everything working out perfectly. Movies that end so called "happily ever after" are not real life for most people.
